Yes! If you're looking for a specific mat and/or frame or just aren't sure exactly what you're looking for, your best option is to purchase a fine art print (Print Only) from my website. Once you receive the print, you can take it to your preferred framing store where you will be able to choose a mat and frame. If you're still stuck and need help, please contact me and let's figure out how to get you what you want.
The dimensions listed for my images gives the dimensions of the Print Only (width x height in inches). For example with a 30x20 Print Only, the print is 30" wide by 20" high.
If you order a Metal Print with Inset Frame, Metal Print with Flush Mount or an Acrylic Print, the final dimensions of these products will be the same dimenson as the print size that you order. With all of these products, there isn't a frame that adds to the width or height of your print. Note however that each frame does add to the depth (distance of image from wall). The Metal Print with Inset Frame is 3/4" deep. The Metal Print with Flush Mount is 1 1/4" deep. The Acrylic Print varies slightly depending on the size of the print, but is generally 3/4" to 1 1/4" deep.
If you order a Metal Print with the Slim Float Frame, the final size of the product will be approximately 1 3/4" larger in both height and width. For example, if you order a 36x24 print with a Slim Float Frame, the final dimensions will be approximately 37 3/4" x 25 3/4". The Slim Float Frames are about 2" deep.
If you order a Framed Print, the final size of the product will be larger than the size of the print itself because of the mat and frame. If you order one of the three smaller sized Framed Prints (18x12, 24x16 or 30x20), the final dimensions of your Framed Print will be approximately 6-7 inches larger in width and height. For example, a 30x20 print when matted and framed will be approximately 37x27. I use increasingly wider mats and larger frames as the print sizes increase. As a result, if you order one of the three larger sized Framed Prints (36x24, 45x30 or 60x40), the final dimensions of your Framed Print will be approximately 9-10 inches larger in both width and height. For example, a 45x30 print when matted and framed will be approximately 55x40.
Yes! While I've tried to accommodate most needs by offering 6 sizes for most of my images, I realize that the perfect size for you could be a size in between my sizes or perhaps larger than my largest size. So, yes, you can have a print made in a custom size, but it must be larger than 18x12. Please be aware that the large marjority of my images are shot or cropped to the traditional 3x2 proportion (for example 18" x 12"). If you want to purchase an image in a different size, please be sure the print dimensions stay in the 3x2 proportion. If you need help figuring it out, just contact me.
In the Los Angeles area, I use an installation company for large items or complicated installations (e.g. above staircases). I have used this company to install large artwork in my own home. If you live in the LA area, I can provide this company’s contact information to you when puchase artwork from me. If you’re not in the LA area, I suggest that you do a Google search for “art installation” to find a reputable, professional installer near you.
Most of my Print Only products (specifically those that are 40” or less on the longest side) are shipped flat. Prints larger than 40” on either side are shipped in tubes because it is more economical and safer for the transport of a large print. My Limited Edition prints are shipped in tubes. All Metal Prints, Framed Prints, and Acrylic Prints are shipped flat.
